Software Engineering is an emerging and young discipline. The seven habits of safe and secure software and systems engineering will involve you in a reflection of the development of dependable systems. We present seven key practices functional safety and it-security when constructing and testing dependable software-intensive systems. These key practices will cover both technical competencies and soft factors in the software and systems engineering discipline. Finally, we will give you an experience based hands-on guideline for dependable software engineering.

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Mottok is the scientific head of  the Software Engineering Laboratory for Safe and Secure Systems (LaS³), ZD.B research professor (ZD.B=Bavarian Center of Digitalization)and a professor for computer science at the OTH Regensburg. Prof. Dr. Mottok is a member of the managing board of the Bavarian IT-Security and Safety Cluster.

Dipl. Päd. Fritz Joas is an assistant lecturer at OTH Regensburg and a trainer for communication in the software and systems engineering discipline. He experiences mainly in leading and optimizing change management processes, in implementing top quality management systems and more. Mr. Joas worked with many large companies such as Audi, Autoliv, BMW, Continental and more. Since 2017 he has been working on the holistic transformation for the VW Group, especially at Audi.
